See some of our architectural work at the Louisville Tour of Remodeled Homes

Earlier this year, we designed a fantastic fireplace surround for a house were were working on with our frequent collaborators at Kiel Thomson Construction. We wanted to create the effect of stacked stone, but rendered in walnut. It can be seen at one of the houses on the tour that is in the Highlands. We'll have better photography soon, but for the moment, some iPhone snapshots will have to do:

Thanks again to the great people at Linak for inviting us to work with them and Chef Edward Lee from 610 Magnolia on the Actuated Kitchen Workstation. Check out the Q and A with Matt and me about designing and building around some completly new applications for Linak's amazing actuators.

Frederick Chaffin will be at NeoCon 2012

Daniel and Matt will be at NeoCon in Chicago, June 11-13. 

We have been commisioned by Linak, a global leader in linear actuator technology, to build a piece for their booth. It is a kitchen island that uses five of their actuators to articulate in some very interesting ways! You'll have to stop by their booth to see it in action. Daniel and Matt will be appearing at the Linak booth at the reception on Tuesday afternoon, proud to be in the company of the illustrious Edward Lee, chef from the award-winning 610 Magnolia. He is known best to the nation as a distinguished competitor on Top Chef and Top Chef Masters. His studio is also to be the final home for the Linak piece.

Bow-Wow Haus Revealed

Here are the photos of the dog house we designed as promised. Head out to Yew Dell Gardens and take a look at all of the beautiful dog houses on display. The exhibit is open from now until the end of October and you can bring your doggy on sundays for some special canine activities.
